Abstract

This chapter presents a novel, two-stage language learning initiative aimed at integrating an immersive experience into a distance language course. The first stage introduces Project Based Language Learning (PBLL) into residence abroad in-situ; whereas the second stage utilises the resources of the first stage for online learners. In response to the COVID 19 pandemic, a further modification of the two-stage model moved this initiative entirely online.
