Abstract

A mathematically resilient learner knows how to work at mathematics, what it takes to overcome barriers and how to recruit the support that works for them and helps them to safeguard their mathematical wellbeing. The focus of this chapter will be on how learners can be helped to be ready to take their place in a society that needs flexible and creative thinking and a willingness to use the power of mathematics to overcome personal, national and global challenges.
