Abstract
The Report on the Census of Production (COP) 1968, is the most detailed statistical information available on UK industry. It provides a self-consistent data base in that all the information was collected over the same time period and it covers all the industries engaged in manufacturing, mining, construction and gas, electricity and water supply. The census is divided into 153 industries a separate set of inputs (purchases) and outputs (Sales) being documented for each industry. The inputs and outputs for an industry are documented in financial terms and in many cases in physical quantities.
