Abstract

This Executive Summary was commissioned by the Mercers' Company as part of its three-year Young People & Education programme's 'Literature Special Initiative on Reading and Writing for Pleasure (2020-2023)'. It sought to establish the approaches that seem to be effective in inspiring and encouraging children and young people to read and/or write for pleasure.
