Abstract
Baobabs (Adansonia digitata) are iconic pachycaul trees of the African landscape. They are the world's largest succulents and are widespread throughout the continent south of the Sahara. They play a major role in the ecology, myth, history and culture of African life and also have economic importance. Ralph Stutchbury is a wildlife photographer who has captured all these aspects of African baobabs in this stunning pictorial book.
