Abstract

Monanthes is a small genus of Crassulaceae from the Atlantic islands with just nine species currently recognised. Monanthes polyphylla is a perennial, mat-forming species. Subsp. polyphylla comes from Gran Canaria, Tenerife and Las Palma whereas subsp. amydros is endemic to La Gomera.
