Abstract
The chapter starts by considering the state of Euroscepticism today, through the lens of the various crises that have unfurled in the past decade. This includes a discussion of both the organised forms of challenge found in party politics and the more diffuse disquiets of public opinion. It then moves to discuss the ways in which the structure of European integration point towards a lasting inability to change this situation: the imbalance of advocacy on European issues, the limited agency of the EU and the multifaceted nature of Euroscepticism itself.
