Abstract

Open research is something that is instinctively important to the Ibali team. In general, the term open research is used to emphasise the importance of academics sharing their processes, methods, data and outputs as widely and as accessibly as possible. It’s good practice, and as UKRI beneficiaries we have a responsibility to adhere to their open access guidelines and integrity principles, but we felt there was more to think about than this, more to do, more to ‘open’. In this article I share our broader definition of the term open research.
