Partners in Play Baseline Evaluation Report

Akyeampong, Albert; Addae-Kyeremeh, Eric; Cullen, Jane and Hendry, Helen (2022). Partners in Play Baseline Evaluation Report. Open University, UK.

Abstract

The Baseline evaluation was designed to provide information on teachers and headteachers knowledge, attitudes and practice regarding the role of play in learning, caregivers’ knowledge, and attitudes to play, and the readiness of the education system to support the integration of learning through play in basic education. It was also to assess the current status of children’s socioemotional skills and how learning through play can help to improve these skills. The overarching question of the baseline evaluation is: What do the findings indicate about the areas and issues that the P3 learning through play project should focus attention on to enhance the effectiveness of its implementation and achieve its objectives?
