Abstract

This paper reviews significant developments in selective licensing. Discusses the background to the introduction of such licensing, the problems faced by the scheme, and the impact of the Selective Licensing of Houses (Additional Conditions) (England) Order 2015. It further examines case law clarifying the local authority consultation requirements for a selective licensing designation, and amendments to the funding of enforcement proceedings.
