Abstract

The article is an invited paper. It is part of the 'Pathways to Effective Communication' series. The article provides an introduction to communicating environmental news in online and hard copy newspapers. The paper briefly reviews recent research literature that has examined newspaper reporting of environmental news, and provides practical advice to environmental scientists considering how to communicate through these media.
