Abstract
This paper suggests two possible future lines of development for design methods. One is a continuation of the design methods ‘generation game’. The other is as a part of the wider development of a post-industrial basis for design, technology and society. The latter is characterized as a paradigm shift in design. Some examples of the seeds of post-industrial design are reviewed.
