Abstract

The Teacher Education for Equity and Sustainability Network’s (TEESNet) objectives are to embed ESD/GC in Teacher Education in UK regions, it also links to Europe and the wider world. Research on ESD/GC within Teacher Education is encouraged and promoted, and the network connects UK and European researchers and practitioners to reflect upon and shape the debate on ESD/GC and the implications for teachers. This session included an overview of the policy and practice for ESD/GC across the four UK nations; examining professional teaching standards, values and ideology, curriculum pedagogy, the role of the third sector and Teacher Education.
