Abstract

About the book: This work, aimed at improving the legal framework for the sustainable development of protected areas at different levels, examines the state of affairs in Italy and Ukraine. It may be considered an important contribution to a deeper knowledge of the respective legal systems for the environment and conservation, and towards the valorization of the Italian tradition in developing Ukraine's legal framework for biodiversity conservation and protected area management, in accordance with the founding concept of "sustainable development" as defined in 1992 at the Rio UNCED Conference.
