Abstract
This report covers some highlights in chemical genetics published during 2005. It is interesting to note that, in addition to the increasingly creative approaches being developed to synthesise highly structurally diverse chemical libraries, there are a number of molecules that have been identified using chemical genetic methodology to have potentially very interesting pharmaceutical applications
