Abstract

Masterclass delivered at the LILAC 2019 conference. We shared our experience of what works best in an online environment, using examples from sessions run by the OU Library for both generic and targeted module sessions.. We covered - adapting in-person teaching for online delivery; - how to make sessions interactive and engaging; - how to cope with large numbers of attendees; - how to cope when the technology doesn’t work. The second half of the masterclass was a practical activity where attendees applied this learning to create their own online lesson plan, using a template with guidance and feedback from OU Librarians.
