Abstract

This article reflects on the lifespan and activities of HE Committee of the National Association of Writers in Education (NAWE). It surveys activities such as PhD embargos in light of open access, HEFC and HESA consultations, work on the creative writing research benchmark, the English: Share Futures conference, seminars on the REF21 and Practice based research and on Creative writing PhD commentaries. The article reflects on the substantial contribution of the outgoing Director of NAWE, Paul Munden.
