Abstract

The PodMag, an audio news magazine developed by the Faculty of Social Sciences at the Open University, aims to provide an engaging radio magazine style broadcast to inform and engage the remote academic community. Aimed predominantly at students, associate lecturers and academic staff, it seeks to bring together the distant academic community by highlighting a variety of practice and opportunities, thereby reducing students’ feeling of remoteness, promoting belonging and a sense of community.
