Abstract

This special issue of Innovation in Language Learning and Teaching celebrates the extensive contribution made by Professor Jim Coleman to the field of language learning, teaching and research. Jim’s global reach was immediately evident in the numerous enthusiastic endorsements for the production of this Festschrift, not to mention the overwhelming response to the call for papers and willingness to provide personal reflections on experience of working with Jim. Unfortunately, within the confines of a single journal issue, it has only been possible to include a small selection of research papers and reflections, representing key aspects of Jim’s influential work and the qualities which inspired colleagues.
