Abstract
In this chapter, Ngoasong and O’Neil integrate concepts from situated and experiential learning to explore a framework for developing and applying management simulations that depict multi-issue multi-stakeholder environment scenarios. The framework can be used to develop simulations that enable conventional MBA students to develop the skills needed to work in an international business and management environment. To illustrate this framework they present INCLUNGRUA, a simulation they applied as part of Coventry University London Campus’s MBA Oil and Gas Management programme. Their discussion of the design of INCONGRUA, the delivery method, the briefing and debriefs strategies, and the skills and competencies taught provide best practices for aligning simulations to curriculum content and students’ learning needs.
