Abstract
This chapter introduces students to a way of thinking about ethics that is structured and based on moral theory. It guides them into designing research that is ethically sound. The structure means that any ethical decisions that are made have a strong moral basis and the decision making process is recoverable and open to discussion.Ethics is about how researchers behave, but it is also about the methodological decisions that they make. The framework ensures that both of these aspects are addressed.
