Abstract
The article investigates the relevant areas of investigation concerning practice skills which are the center of successful primary health care. Among the benefits of practice skills are channeling the knowledge and expertise of nurses into care strategies and the enhancement of professional identity. The article also considers a periodic skill review as a good example of professionalism at work in nursing.
