Abstract

This collection of 28 original chapters provides a broad and critical understanding of design. Over 40 expert design academics and design practitioners contributed to the content. It presents an accessible and engaging insight to a variety of design professions including graphic communication, product design and games design. Design and Designing uncovers today’s design processes and explores, for example, designers’ use of modelling and drawing, how they interact with various stakeholders and design responsibilities. Chapters are illustrated with a combination of images and information boxes which extend or highlight key material. Each section concludes with a design project, a hands-on activity for the reader.
