Abstract
SuperWASP-I is an ultra wide field instrument with support for up to 8 cameras (currently 5) on a robotic computer-controlled mount installed on La Palma. Each camera consists of a Canon 200mm f/1.8 lens and an Andor 2048x2048 pixel back-illuminated CCD giving a field of view of 7.8 x 7.8 degrees.
We make use of this wide field to investigate variable stars in the Pleiades and Hyades cluster fields using data obtained during commissioning time.
