Abstract
This paper provides an overview of the Open University's newly validated work based pre-registration nursing programme including the Library's involvement in the programme. The programme's educational philosophy, aims and objectives are outlined. The paper discusses the ways in which information literacy skills are being integrated into the programme to help the students develop the skills they need to deliver care based on current evidence, best practice and validated research.
