Abstract
Minerals of the columbite-tantalite group are rare in Britain, though workable deposits occur in various parts of the world. Ferrocolumbite has now been found in specimens collected in 1995 from material that came from a pegmatite-lined miarolitic cavity in the Carnmenellis granite at the SE end of the main level at Chywoon quarry, Longdowns, Penryn (NGR SW 748 348).
