Abstract

This paper outlines the intercultural, collaborative nature of Interaction Design summer schools for PhD and Masters students, while describing the design practices and educational methods utilized in such a context. The authors’ experiences as participants and facilitators in combination with data collected from a questionnaire and design patterns workshops are captured in this paper and reflected upon. In conclusion, a framework for organizing and implementing future Interaction Design academies is
proposed.
