Abstract
The United Nations University Institute for New Technologies (UNU/INTECH) and the National Biotechnology Development Agency (NABDA) of the Federal Ministry of Science and Technology are preparing to undertake a study of the biopharmaceutical innovation system in Nigeria. This grant will support a 2-day workshop in Nigeria for the local research team and members of the relevant ministries (Food and Agriculture, Industry, Environment, Health, Science and Technology) to discuss the nature of innovation systems, the range of actors involved and the role of policy in building a biopharmaceutical innovation system. A background study will be commissioned prior to the workshop.
