Abstract

These three case studies are based on a series of interviews conducted by Deneise Dadd of The Open University. Interviews were conducted by telephone during July 2013 and are based on a sub-sample of online respondents. We are grateful to all of our interviewees for taking the time to be involved in this project. The cases are designed to complement the Quarterly Survey of Small Business in Britain Q2 2013 survey special topic on job creation and contracting out.
