Abstract
Knights’ scholarly work critically examines the intersections of organization, management, and gender studies, focusing on how masculinities shape organizational contexts. His research encompasses theories of management and organization, power and identity dynamics, gender and diversity issues, and challenges in epistemology and methodology. An Emeritus Professor at the University of Lancaster, UK, Knights has held positions at multiple universities, including The University of Manchester and The Open University. His contributions to academia are significant in terms of teaching, publications, mentorship of scholars, and pivotal roles in establishing Critical Management Studies. Notably, his co-founding of the journal Gender, Work & Organization has had a substantial impact on the field and gender and management.
