Open Research Online Help Pages

Coverage

Open Research Online is an Open Access repository of The Open University's peer reviewed and published research, as well as other research output types which meet the "Frascati" definition of research. The service is publicly accessible and can be browsed and searched freely. While most records are research papers, the repository allows a range of research output types to be recorded.

If you are an Open University researcher you are automatically pre-registered as a user of the repository and can self-deposit your research papers and other research outputs. Ideally we would like you to supply bibliographic details together with the full text of the item, however if this is not possible or appropriate then please supply bibliographic details and an abstract.

Queries relating to whether a publication or other research output is deemed eligible for inclusion in Open Research Online should be directed to the Library ORO team (Lib-ORO-team@open.ac.uk), who will discuss eligibility with the Faculty Associate Dean (Research) and Faculty ORO User Group Representative. However, before doing so please consult the following FAQ: What can I deposit in Open Research Online?

Please note that confidential research outputs must not be deposited in Open Research Online.
