Abstract
This research report examines the information provided to potential students prior to registering for a level 1 Open University course. It identifies if information provided to potential students identifies if the course is suitable for beginners, what pathways the course links to, what skills are required (including computer skills) and skills taught. It looks at whether assessment methods are stated and what tutorial support is provided. It also looks at whether preparatory work is required.
