Abstract
Collaboration between the UK and Germany. This chapter situates European research in environmental gerontology within developing theoretical perspectives. Discussion also focuses on physical, social and psychological aspects of the environment utilising cross-national research. One of eight research based contributions to the first European edition of Ageing in Society with an editorial team from Newcastle University, The Open University and the University of Nijmegen, Netherlands who established writing partnerships between British and European researchers.
