Abstract
Learning is an innately positive activity. However, student mental wellbeing in higher education is at crisis point, with research showing that not only do issues with mental health affect students’ chances of success, but that higher education can exacerbate or even cause wellbeing issues. In my talk, I present research findings that give tangible examples of small things that can make a big difference to mental wellbeing in learning.
This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
