Abstract

In this concluding chapter, we consider the three missions we have identified for colleges and the potential conflicts between them. In the light of the contributions from authors to this book, we then consider the challenges which colleges have and are facing in delivering on these missions. We then outline the opportunities which have been identified, and consider how colleges can move forward with positive agendas for the 21st century.
