Abstract
Aloe pearsonii inhabits an extremely harsh environment in Namaqualand, southern Africa, a consequence of which is that it is notoriously difficult to grow well and flower in cultivation. It is described here both in the wild and in cultivation and its conservation status and close relatives are also discussed.
