Abstract
Miniature, low-mass, low-power Mass Spectrometer instrumentation and sample processing systems have been developed that are compatible with high-speed penetrator deployment. These working prototypes have flight heritage and are based on the Ptolemy Mass Spectrometer instrument on the Philae lander. We will describe the instrumentation, discuss results from previous impact tests and the issues and opportunities for deployment of such instrument packages at Europa
