The purpose of this chapter is to explore some of the key issues surrounding narrative enquiry and life history in educational leadership and management research. While not claiming to be comprehensive, it is hoped that it will act as a starting point for the researcher who feels that their research question lends itself to such an approach. The further reading list and references at the end of the chapter provide readers with the opportunity to investigate the approach further and explore the issues raised here in more depth.
