Abstract

This report follows through an investigation of the nature of travel in Britain in the light of the change in the transport policy agenda towards travel demand management. It identifies key travel-generating trends and the major factors influencing these trends. It thus documents a process that provides the basis upon which robust demand management measures can be built.
