Abstract
This collection contains a substantial introduction and ten chapters, focusing on the role that social networking plays in communities of language learners. It is organized in three parts: the wider ecology of learning, pedagogies and practitioners, and learning benefits/challenges. Each of the first 9 chapters deals with learner experiences in a different social networking context. The 10th chapter provides a critical overview of the volume.
