Abstract

Within CU5 AlertPipe is a data processing pipeline dedicated to the near real-time detection, classification and alerting of flux-based transient phenomena. AlertPipe Xmatch is a package within the pipeline designed to aid the classification and characterisation of potential transient phemonena that ultimately informs the pipeline whether to publish an alert or not. This technical note describes the various implementations of the Xmatch classification algorithms.
