Abstract
Archive-linkage of criminal and transportation records in Britain and Australia (mainly in the National Archives of Scotland and the State Archives of New South Wales and of Tasmania) are used to reconstruct the origins, crimes, transportation and ultimate fates of a cohort of offenders convicted in Scottish courts in 1830.
