Abstract
The chapter traces the history of Dussek's involvement with London's music business. It charts the history of his own publishing and retailing business and examines the reasons for its downfall and Dussek's subsequent flight to the continent. It also looks at Dussek's relationship with other companies, including Longman & Broderip, Clementi & Co., Birchall and Ciancettini & Sperati. Dussek's relationship with the English piano and its makers is examined in a final section.
