Published in conjunction with the exhibition South-South: Interruptions & Encounters, presented by the Justina M. Barnicke Gallery in collaboration with the South Asian Visual Arts Centre, April 2 to May 19, 2009. Catalogue contains six commissioned essays by writers, artists, and academics addressing the possibilities and limitations of a “South-South” framework situated at the intersection of African and South Asian history, politics, and culture. 96 pages with black and white reproductions.
