Abstract
This chapter charts the different approaches taken by historians to the relationship between medicine and witchcraft in the period from the end of the witch hunts in the eighteenth century to the present day. It concludes by attempting to outline the direction of future research in the field in the light of the recent burgeoning interest in the social history of medicine in academic circles.
