Abstract
The chapter charts the history of Clementi's firm from the time he and his business partners bought it from Longman & Broderip in 1798 to Clementi's retirement shortly before his death in 1832. The various aspects of the firm are dealt with - the internal working of the partners, instrument sales in the context of a difficult European environment, along with aspects of the publishing business.
