Abstract
Quentin Skinner is one of the most eminent and influential political theorists of our time. In the interview he discusses the ideas and authors who shaped his early intellectual development, his ground-breaking methodological work on meaning and interpretation, the logic of the development of his thinking, his subsequent work about freedom and the state, his ideas on republican liberty, and his current research. He also reflects upon the trajectory of contemporary political theory, and on issues in contemporary politics that political theorists should be/are/aren't addressing.
