Abstract

In July 2008 Sylvia Porter posted pictures of her flowering plants of Brachystelma bracteolatum and B. caffrum on to the BCSS electronic Forum. This prompted discussion about the scent of the flowers as brachystelmas are renowned for having the foulest-smelling scents in the Apocynaceae.
