Abstract
This special edition of Soccer and Society is inspired by work on the AHRC funded project Sport Across Diaspora for Tuning In: contact zones at the BBC World Service.Through a range of short pieces, images and conventional articles the special edition explores the affects and sensations of football through sounds and objects, music, art literature and the everyday sensory experiences that are generated by football.
