Abstract

This book is written for students in a wide variety of contexts, whether they are studying at a distance, or on campus. The text is based on good practice in effective learning and it shows how a range of technologies can be used to support that learning, with practical ideas and innovative approaches. We are confident that this will provide a good foundation for learning as new technologies come on stream. The book includes a glossary, links to free software and further resources, which can also be found on our book website: and we invite readers to add to the lists and update the links and resources.
